Disclosure: Abivo is our product. Facts about other tools come from their own websites as of October 2026.
The short answer: Invoiced, now part of Flywire, describes itself as "an AI-native invoice-to-cash platform for B2B finance teams." It covers invoicing, collections, cash application, analytics, a customer payment portal and embedded payments in one system. Abivo is narrower by design: its AI agent, Kate, calls, texts and emails customers about overdue invoices in your company's name, records promises to pay and disputes, and hands anything that needs a person to your AR team. Choose Invoiced if you want to replace several invoice-to-cash tools with one platform. Choose Abivo if your invoicing and payments already work and you need the collections conversations to actually happen.
What Invoiced does
Invoiced says it targets mid-market and enterprise finance teams. According to its website, the platform includes:
Invoicing set up using each customer's payment history, credit profile and dispute patterns
Collections through Smart Chasing, with outreach sequences you configure by account, by invoice or both; Invoiced says "every account gets its own playbook"
Automation Builder for custom workflows triggered on a schedule or by events
A/R Inbox that logs threaded conversations tied to the customer and invoice
Cash application through CashMatch AI, which matches payments to invoices and sends exceptions to staff
Analytics where users ask questions in plain English, plus early warnings when payment behavior changes
Payments and portal with Flywire's payment network embedded, and a portal where customers view invoices, pay and set up AutoPay
Integrations with NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics, QuickBooks, Xero and Workday, plus Integration Studio for other apps
Invoiced also describes four types of AI agents: Assist, Automate, Advise and Configure. It says Smart Chasing "runs each dunning cadence, escalates through the right contacts," and stops when payment arrives. Its collections page lists email, letter and phone among Smart Chasing channels. We did not find a description of an AI agent holding live phone conversations with customers.
Where Abivo is different
Abivo focuses on the follow-up itself rather than the full invoice-to-cash cycle.
An agent that talks to customers. Kate calls, texts and emails customers about overdue invoices in your company's name. Learn more about AI collections calls and how an AI agent calls customers about overdue invoices.
Conversation outcomes captured. Kate records promises to pay, disputes and next steps.
People stay in the loop. Disputes and requests to speak with a person go to your AR team with the full history, and you can flag key accounts so a named owner handles them.
Control at every level. Set the cadence per account or segment, and pause any single invoice.
Clear, consolidated reminders. Reminders name the invoice details, such as job, site, PO or billing period, and one message can cover every open invoice on an account.
Multi-entity and global. Multi-entity teams keep each subsidiary separate, and Abivo works with customers in over 50 countries and in any currency.
Keep your systems. Abivo connects with QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, SAP and Chargebee, or an aging report export. See integrations.
Abivo does not replace your accounting system, invoicing, payment processing or cash application. If you need those, Invoiced offers them and Abivo does not.

When to choose Invoiced
Choose Invoiced when you want one platform for invoicing, collections workflows, cash application, a customer payment portal and embedded payments. It is a strong fit for mid-market and enterprise teams that are consolidating tools, handle complex invoicing, or want payment matching and portfolio analytics alongside dunning. If you are replacing your billing and payments stack anyway, its breadth is a real advantage.
When to choose Abivo
Choose Abivo when your invoicing, payments and cash application already work, but overdue invoices sit because nobody has time to call. Abivo fits teams whose customers respond to a phone call or text more than to another automated email, and teams that want each conversation's outcome recorded without changing their accounting system. It also suits companies with several subsidiaries or international customers. For a broader view of the category, see our guide to AI collections software and accounts receivable automation software.
OFS Group, a fire protection contractor, collected $842,518 in its first four months with Abivo. Read the OFS Group case study.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Abivo an Invoiced alternative?
Yes, for collections. Instead of dunning sequences, Abivo gives you an AI agent that calls, texts and emails customers about overdue invoices. It is not an alternative to Invoiced's invoicing, payment portal, payments or cash application, because Abivo does not replace those.
Invoiced vs Abivo: which is better for teams that need customers on the phone?
Abivo is built for that. Kate calls, texts and emails customers in your company's name and records promises to pay, disputes and next steps. Invoiced lists phone among its Smart Chasing channels, but its site centers on configured sequences and workflow automation rather than an agent holding live conversations.
Can I keep Invoiced for billing and use Abivo for collections?
Abivo is designed to work alongside your existing accounting and invoicing. It connects with QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, SAP and Chargebee, or works from an aging report export. Whether it fits next to Invoiced depends on where your open invoices live, which a demo can confirm.
Does Abivo work for multi-entity companies?
Yes. Multi-entity teams keep each subsidiary separate in Abivo, and it works with customers in over 50 countries and in any currency.
Will an AI agent damage customer relationships?
You stay in control: set the cadence per account or segment, pause any invoice, and assign named owners to key accounts. Disputes and requests for a person go to your AR team. Read more in will AI collections calls hurt customer relationships.
